Lapel Closed Guard System – Brabo Series

This is part one of the Lapel Closed Guard System and the first series of attacks you should look for when using the system.

Here is exactly what’s covered:

– Breaking Posture
– Setting Brabo Grip
– Finishing The Cross Choke
– Arm Bar From Cross Choke
– Brabo From Cross Choke
– Triangle From Cross Choke
– Arm Drag From Choke

Also you can add some speed drills

Speed Drill #1: Closed Guard Armbar (1 min ea)
Speed Drill #2: Closed Triangle (1 min ea)

Here are some flow drills you can do too

Flow Drill #1: Pull Closed Guard —> Break App. Posture —> Set Up Brabo Grip —> Attack Cross Choke —> Opp. Blocks Choke —> Brabo Choke (Alternating 3 min)

Specific Training #1: Starting With Brabo Grip (reset if your partner escapes closed guard or you sweep or submit them, 2 min ea)
Specific Training #2: From Closed Guard (reset if your partner escapes closed guard or you sweep or submit them, 3 min ea)
